## How the Feature Works

Owners bind a TCL account by going to the vehicle's app center, opening the Smart IoT App, and selecting the home device page to log in and authorize the TCL account\. After a one-time binding, air conditioners added to or removed from the TCL App account sync automatically on the vehicle side\.

The feature supports three control methods: voice commands such as "Xiao Di, turn on the air conditioner at home" or "set the temperature to 25 degrees," on-screen tapping to adjust temperature and switch modes when parked, and scene-based automation\. When the vehicle is one kilometer from home, a Home Mode automatically activates\.

## Supported Devices and Account Security

The feature currently supports TCL wall-mounted and cabinet air conditioners and fresh-air wall-mounted and cabinet air conditioners\. Account authorization uses the industry-standard OAuth2\.0 process to link the BYD account with the TCL account, and account passwords do not pass through the vehicle\.

Commands travel from the DiLink system in the vehicle through the BYD Cloud, which connects to the TCL smart home IoT cloud platform, and are then delivered to the air conditioner at home\. Status feedback follows the same path\.

## Standardized Integration and Platform Plans

Device models provide a standard description for each category, and TCL completed device model integration for the categories supported on the vehicle side\. New products in the same category do not require redevelopment\.

Account authorization, device model mapping and partner onboarding review have become standard capabilities of the BYD ecosystem open platform, which TCL joined by following those standards\. The platform provides standardized onboarding review, an OAuth2\.0 authorization system, flexible device model mapping, and technical documentation and integration support throughout the process\.

Air conditioner vehicle-home connectivity is described as only the first step\. BYD's ecosystem open platform is open to fields including home furnishings and appliances, in-vehicle applications and in-vehicle themes, and welcomes more ecosystem partners\.
