Partnership announced in Shenzhen

BYD Group became an official partner of the 33rd APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting on October 16, 2026. The event is referred to as the APEC 2026 meetings, and the announcement was made in Shenzhen.

Under the partnership, multiple high-end models from Denza, Yangwang, Fang Cheng Bao, and BYD's Dynasty and Ocean lines will serve as official designated vehicles for APEC 2026, providing low-carbon transport for meeting guests and supporting the event's low-carbon hosting requirements.

Sales and global reach

BYD reported sales of more than 4.6 million new energy vehicles in 2025. Its overseas sales exceeded 1.04 million vehicles in 2025, up 145% year on year.

In the first nine months of 2026, BYD's cumulative sales exceeded 3.13 million vehicles, including more than 1.33 million sold overseas. BYD says its new energy vehicles are now present in more than 120 countries and regions.
