The overall market discount change index for September 2026 was -3.51. The overall discount stood at 23,000 yuan, 3 yuan higher than the previous month, a month-on-month increase of 0.01%.
Sedans and SUVs
The sedan market price change index was -5.73 in September 2026, with a transaction price of 124,400 yuan. The sedan transaction price fell 2,925 yuan from the previous month, a decrease of 2.3%. The sedan discount change index was -6.03 and the discount was 24,600 yuan, 186 yuan higher than the previous month.
The SUV market price change index was -12.08 in September 2026, with a transaction price of 163,400 yuan. The SUV transaction price rose 1,216 yuan from the previous month, an increase of 0.75%. The SUV discount change index was -2.22 and the discount was 21,800 yuan, 136 yuan lower than the previous month, a decrease of 0.62%.
MPV
The MPV market price change index was 11.38 in September 2026, and the MPV transaction price was 299,600 yuan. The MPV transaction price rose 13,914 yuan from the previous month, an increase of 4.87%. The MPV discount change index was -1.12 and the discount was 22,400 yuan, 199 yuan higher than the previous month, an increase of 0.9%.
The report said the share of sales in the above-300,000-yuan price band within the MPV segment has exceeded 40% for several consecutive months.
