CATL's Three-Round Run in the GBA Pilot
The Global Battery Alliance (GBA) has announced the results of its 2026 battery passport pilot project. CATL participated in the project for a third consecutive round and released a battery passport in each round, making it the only battery company with a battery passport release in every pilot to date.
The 2026 pilot covered cell manufacturers representing nearly 80% of global production volume.
Full Value-Chain ESG Data Coverage
In the pilot assessment, CATL's battery products achieved complete ESG data coverage across the full value chain, from mining and refining through materials and cells to battery packs.
Carbon Neutrality Milestones
CATL said it has reached its core operations carbon neutrality target, describing itself as the only battery company to do so at terawatt-hour shipment scale. The company has launched a full value-chain carbon neutrality initiative for 2035.
CATL said it will continue working with global partners to advance the development and adoption of sustainable standards for the new energy industry.
