One foundation, four scenarios

Chery Group has presented its Yaoguang 2035 technology strategy, which it describes as using one technology foundation to support technology applications and create value for human freedom. The foundation is CheryMind, a vertical large model described as built for physical AI.

The strategy organizes its applications into four areas of scenario freedom: mobility, energy, food and life. Across these four areas, Chery lists 11 core technologies.

The 11 core technologies

The 11 technologies named in the strategy are Robotaxi, V2G with Xunlong instant charging and wireless charging, CheryMind, solar vehicles with water-from-air, eVTOL, CHERY AWE, solid-state batteries, chips, the Lingxi 8D smart cockpit, a native 48V low-voltage electrical system and an intelligent driving unit.

Chery describes its approach as carrying computing power on chips and driving intelligence with large models. The company says CHERY AWE, its full-dimensional world engine, integrates global resources and is a Chery first.

Chery also describes an industry-first native front-installed Robotaxi built for the global market, and says it is pursuing integrated air, space and ground transportation.

Aviation, batteries and charging

The strategy lists the Lingxiao Q212 with all-electric power, a top speed of 120 km/h and more than 60 minutes of endurance at full load. It lists the Lingxiao J506 with a range of more than 1,000 km and a speed of 350 km/h.

Chery plans for its Rhino S solid-state battery pilot line to enter use in 2027. Xunlong instant charging is described as delivering 500 km of range from a five-minute charge, and V2G is described as charging at off-peak times and selling at peak, with annual returns of more than 3,000 yuan.
