TIME recognition

TIME has published its 2026 Best Inventions list, and the Denza Z was selected as a best invention in the transportation category, according to Denza. Denza said the Denza Z is the first production model in China's high-end electric supercar segment to be named to the list.

The TIME Best Inventions list has been published for more than 25 consecutive years since it first appeared in 2000. This year's list selects 300 innovative products worldwide across fields including technology, healthcare and transportation. Selected entrants will be promoted across TIME's platforms, reaching an audience of more than 120 million worldwide, according to the company.

Powertrain and chassis technology

The Denza Z is the world's first electric supercar to carry the Yi Sanfang Pro three-motor system, using a three-motor all-wheel-drive layout with one motor at the front and two at the rear. Denza lists a combined output of 1,180 kW (more than 1,600 hp) and peak torque of 1,240 N·m.

The track version of the Denza Z accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.96 seconds and has a top speed above 350 km/h. The Denza Z is also the first model worldwide to feature the Yunian-M intelligent magnetorheological body control system, which Denza says has a damping response time of under 10 milliseconds and can make thousands of dynamic adjustments per second.

The Denza Z uses a 2+2 four-seat layout, which Denza says breaks the limitation of traditional two-door supercars that can carry only two people.
