Four Sea Routes Test
The fifth-generation Geely Emgrand i-HEV completed a 3,200.2 km test across mixed and complex road conditions spanning the South China Sea, East China Sea, Yellow Sea and Bohai Sea routes, recording a measured combined fuel consumption of 2.97L/100km.
On the South China Sea route, the vehicle covered 526.1 km at an average speed of 49 km/h, consuming 16.41L of fuel for a measured consumption of 3.12L/100km.
On the East China Sea route, the vehicle covered 1,024.6 km at an average speed of 47 km/h, consuming 30.12L of fuel for a measured consumption of 2.94L/100km.
On the Yellow Sea route, the vehicle covered 1,239.2 km at an average speed of 50 km/h, consuming 37.76L of fuel for a measured consumption of 3.05L/100km.
On the Bohai Sea route, the vehicle covered 410.3 km at an average speed of 57 km/h, consuming 10.95L of fuel for a measured consumption of 2.67L/100km.
Thermal Efficiency Certification
The Geely i-HEV BHE20-EFZ vehicle engine obtained a product certification certificate from CATARC Huacheng Certification (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. on March 19, 2026, for a maximum effective thermal efficiency of 48.41%.
Engine startup vibration was reduced by 32.7%, based on internal testing by Geely Automobile Research Institute using a Geely i-HEV model.
Aerodynamic and AI Contributions
The AGS active grille shutter and 17-inch aluminum alloy low-drag wheels reduce fuel consumption by 0.1L per 100 km, based on testing by the Geely Supercomputing Center using StarCCM+ software simulation on a Geely Emgrand i-HEV model.
