Agreement Signed
Huaihe Energy and CATL recently signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two companies will cooperate across new energy storage, renewable energy project development, scenario electrification and new power system construction to jointly strengthen power supply security in the Yangtze River Delta region.
Zhou Tao, Party Secretary and Chairman of Huaihe Energy Co., Ltd., and Lai Yongjie, Regional General Manager of CATL, signed the agreement on behalf of the two parties. Han Jiazhang, Party Secretary and Chairman of Huaihe Energy Holding Group, and Wang Geng, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of Huaihe Energy Holding Group, along with Wu Yingming, Director and President of Regional Management at CATL, and Zheng Yelai, Co-President of the Market System and General Manager of the Zero-Carbon Energy Business Unit at CATL, attended and witnessed the signing.
Energy Storage and Renewable Energy
The cooperation covers the construction of wind-solar and multi-energy complementary bases. During the 15th Five-Year Plan period, the two companies will focus on grid-side and source-grid-load-storage multi-type energy storage projects to enhance peak-shaving and renewable energy consumption capacity.
The companies will also advance microgrids, virtual power plants and green electricity trading, explore implementation paths for source-grid-load-storage coupling and park load aggregation transformation, and jointly develop the Shanghai energy storage demonstration project to promote cross-regional energy linkage.
