TÜV Rheinland Grants Witnessed Laboratory Status

On September 22, 2026, Zhejiang Lingai Future Technology, a company under Leapmotor Technology, and TÜV Rheinland Greater China held a witnessed laboratory accreditation ceremony. TÜV Rheinland awarded witnessed laboratory qualification certificates to Lingai Future Technology's UN-R155/R156 automotive cybersecurity and software update laboratory and its UN-R10 electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) laboratory.

The certificates cover UN-R155 vehicle cybersecurity and cybersecurity management systems, UN-R156 vehicle software update and software update management systems, and the UN-R10 regulation.

Scope and Impact of the Accreditation

Lingai Future Technology's overseas type approval testing can now be conducted under the witness of TÜV Rheinland engineers. This is expected to shorten certification cycles and improve project response efficiency.

The accreditation also means Lingai Future Technology has the qualifications and capability to undertake TÜV Rheinland-related witnessed testing business.

TÜV Rheinland audited the two laboratories according to relevant quality management documents. The results showed that they met international and EU standards in testing capability, equipment and environmental conditions, and laboratory management.

Executive Remarks and Cooperation Background

Zhou Hongtao, senior vice president of Leapmotor Technology, said that obtaining the two witnessed laboratory qualifications affirms Lingai Future Technology's existing R&D and testing capabilities and lays a solid foundation for efficient, compliant market access for future overseas models.
