Radar Launch and Acquisition
Qianli Technology released its AI millimeter-wave radar (4D) in October 2026. The company acquired 100% of Ronggan Technology in June 2026.
The radar is an 8T8R unit with a built-in 10 TOPS NPU. Qianli states that, within public information, this is the first automotive millimeter-wave radar to integrate computing power at that level.
Detection Performance
Qianli's AI radar stably detects an unobstructed stationary child at a range of 100 to 150 meters. The 8T8R radar detects plastic traffic cones at 110 meters, tires at 180 meters, two-wheelers at 250 meters, cardboard boxes at 300 meters and moving vehicles at up to 380 meters.
Generational Improvements
Compared with Qianli's previous-generation 4D radar that used DSP-based on-device computing, the new radar increases point cloud density 10 times, raises detection range by 40%, improves ghost elimination to 95% and increases spatial angular resolution 12 times.
Deployment Modes
Qianli offers the radar in three working modes: edge-side, satellite architecture and a compatible mode. All three modes share one hardware base and feature interface, supporting deployment according to a vehicle model's computing power configuration and cost targets.
Technology Partners
Qianli combines a self-developed intelligent driving large model with StepFun's foundation model. The on-device chip is supplied externally, cloud computing power is provided by Tianshu Zhixin, and the Geely ecosystem provides vehicle platforms and real-world data.
