Accident in Shiyan

At about 8 a.m. on October 12, a Zeekr 7X fell from an elevated bridge in rainy and foggy weather in Shiyan, Hubei Province, according to Zeekr's account of the accident. The owner was safe.

The day after the accident, the owner posted on the Zeekr App to report being safe, saying the vehicle had fallen about 60 meters from the elevated bridge and that the injuries were minor.

The owner recalled that the road was slippery and visibility was poor at the time, and that the vehicle drifted off its direction of travel. The owner tried to correct it, but everything happened in an instant. The airbags deployed and the owner briefly lost consciousness, then escaped from the vehicle after regaining consciousness. According to the owner, the passenger cabin retained a relatively intact structure, and although the front windshield was damaged, it did not detach entirely.

Meanwhile, the in-car SOS emergency call system (Zeekr E-CALL rescue) was triggered automatically and placed a voice call to the owner to help contact rescue personnel. Ambulance personnel then arrived and took the owner to hospital. According to Zeekr, the owner escaped danger and did not suffer fractures or internal organ injuries.

Zeekr's Response

Zeekr said staff from Zeekr Home traveled to the area to help handle follow-up matters and invited the owner to join the Zeekr Dawn Guardian Safety Club.
