MOU signed for 3GWh deployment
INTILION, a European energy storage solutions provider, and CATL signed a memorandum of understanding. Under the agreement, the two companies plan to deploy 3GWh of CATL Tianheng energy storage systems in Germany, Switzerland and Austria over the next five years, for grid-scale and commercial and industrial applications.
The companies also plan to promote the parallel development of multiple technology routes, including sodium-ion and lithium-ion, in Europe.
Tianheng system specifications
CATL's Tianheng energy storage system has a cycle life exceeding 15,000 cycles and can operate stably for 25 years, according to CATL. The system maintains high discharge power at minus 20 degrees Celsius.
Existing projects in Germany
Since 2022, INTILION and CATL have delivered more than 30 energy storage projects in Germany.
