Burj Khalifa Light Show Celebrates Record
On the evening of November 6 local time, Dubai's Burj Khalifa lit up in a dedicated light show to celebrate the Yangwang U9 Xtreme's 503.17 km/h top-speed world record, and the Yangwang U9X Speed Night opened beneath the tower.
More than 3,000 Yangwang users, global media representatives and guests gathered at the event.
Record Set in Abu Dhabi
On November 1, 2026, the Yangwang U9 Xtreme achieved a 503.17 km/h top-speed result on a closed test section of the E11 highway in Abu Dhabi, with Marc Basseng driving.
In September last year, Basseng drove the Yangwang U9X at the ATP test track in Papenburg, Germany, setting a 496.22 km/h production-car top-speed record.
The Yangwang U9 Xtreme broke the record it set last year, earning two new Guinness World Records titles for the fastest electric production car and the fastest production car, and the result was also certified by the FIA.
Abu Dhabi Convoy and Dingyao Debut
On November 7 local time, Yangwang held a convoy event in Abu Dhabi led by the U9 Xtreme, with up to 110 vehicles from Yangwang, Denza and BYD appearing at landmarks across Abu Dhabi and driving to the Mandarin Oriental Emirates Palace.
That evening, Yangwang's ultra-luxury executive flagship sedan, Dingyao, made its world premiere at the Mandarin Oriental Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi.
